Meranaw Kulintang Performance/Lecture and Webinar Series on Arts Administration

The Meranaw Kulintang Performance/Lecture opens up the series of online activities (WEBINARS) of the Center for Culture and Arts Studies, in collaboration with the Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) and the Cultural of the Philippines – Kalinga ng Sining (CCP-KnS). With RCG members/scholars as the primary participants, other cultural workers, humanities and arts teachers and students are also invited. The Meranaw Kulintang Performance/Lecture features the Institute’s kulintang master, the onor of the KALILANG Cultural Ensemble, Bae Caironesa C. Dimatanday. She will be playing short pieces, an actual demonstration with an interview portion. Her previous performances will also be shown. Even with this pandemic, the Center is committed to continue its mandate to implement the graduate program (Master in Culture and Arts Studies) as well as supervise the different Resident Cultural Groups of the Institute. This Kulintang Performance/Lecture will be followed by Webinars on Arts Administration with resource persons from the Institute, Ilo-ilo City, Marawi City, and Iligan City.  The Center is also hosting the IPAG’s project #Staying Alive, which includes series of workshops with invited fellows and national and international cultural and arts experts /professionals and facilitators.

The activities are set on  September 18 (10 AM – 11 AM) and on September 25, October 16 and 23, 2020 (10 AM – 12 PM).
