Description:

As we are facing this pandemic, there are significant issues in the academic setting to be addressed to ensure the safety of our learners. New learning modes have appeared that can open more opportunities for flexible learning. Innovative-flexible (InFlex) teaching and learning allows students to work at their own pace. A classroom environment that incorporates flexible learning naturally requires learners to demonstrate more autonomy, self-regulation, and independence to succeed. Teachers offer a form of initial program orientation before introducing flexible learning strategies to prepare students to feel confident navigating the different components and developing a stronger sense of independence. Teachers this time should have found themselves managing virtual classrooms and communicating with their students over social media platforms.

Having said all these, this project or activity initiative is a response in this time of new normal for the education sector, specifically for the Physical Education teachers. This series of webinars will highlight the various challenges the Physical Education teachers face in delivering quality instruction and we hope to address these challenges in cooperation of the invited competent speakers from our partner universities in South East Asia, thru sharing of their best practices specifically in the planning, conducting and evaluation phases of the teaching and learning process. This will help them explore how to apply flexible learning strategies to promote a worthwhile teaching-learning environment at the same time protect their health and well-being.

This is hosted by the Department of Physical Education, College of Education, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø-IIT, and supported by the ASEAN Council for Physical Education and Health (ACPES).
