In line with the celebration of Rizal Month this December (by virtue of Proclamation No. 126, s. 2001), the Department of History and the Mindanao History, Heritage, and Indigenous Learning Center (MHHILC) of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, holds this webinar on Looking Back, Moving Forward: Rizal, Mindanao, and COVID19 on December 11 at 1:00 PM via Zoom.
This event, which is in collaboration with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), Philippine Historical Association (PHA), and the Local Historical Committees Network (LHCN), attempts to gather historians, Mindanao history practitioners, social science teachers, Rizal course instructors, and students to revisit the importance of our national hero’s ideals, values, and legacies on the past relevant to the pressing problems the country is facing today, particularly on the health situation.
More so, the goals and objectives of this event are in accordance with the Rizal Law, which entails national and legal mandate of teaching and promoting Rizal Course at both secondary and tertiary school levels.
