Amidst the new normal setting, the physical interaction has been discouraged to prevent the spreading of the COVID-19 virus that is seriously disrupting our daily academic activities. Despite of this ravage of pandemic, the Ceramic Engineering Society pushes through a virtual celebration of the 8th Ceramic Engineering Week via Zoom, Google Meet and FB Live. This yearly event is celebrated with the theme: “Sustaining Research and Development through Innovative Ceramic Engineering amidst New Normal Setting”.

Various activities have been crafted for this week-long celebration as the following:

• Ceramic Research Symposium: There are four speakers invited with local and international exposures in ceramic research undertakings. Their research background can surely open up new horizons in ceramic development and encourage the ceramic engineering students to academically strive harder.
• Arts based activities: Tiktok Dance challenge, Spoken Poetry, Photography, and Essay Writing competitions are also taking place to encourage participation among the ceramic engineering students and to disclose their hidden extra-curricular talents.
• E-sports activity (Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang): An online solution to the usual contact sports is a one of the exciting events to allow the practice of cooperating, tactical planning, and teamwork among the ceramic engineering students.
