The Iligan City Information and Communication Technology Conference (ICICT) is a conference in Information and Communications Technology managed by the College of Computer Studies, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø (51³Ô¹ÏÍø-IIT) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Iligan City and TVET schools dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practices in computing and related disciplines. This is the first ICT conference held locally and will be conducted online, following the theme Glocalization and ICT. The theme emphasizes the importance of looking at our local context while anticipating global implications. The application of ICT to various aspects of our lives needs to be contextualized considering our current cultural infrastructure. Having a local context will help us shape our understanding of how to appropriately apply, use, and control ICT in a process that takes into account holistic and futuristic consequences. This conference also aims to promote Computing as a collaborator in today’s interdisciplinary works (researches or projects) and in dealing with the Sustainable Development Goals’ issues.
