Organized by the Department of Professional Education of the College of Education, this is a month-long webinar series on Open Educational Practices with synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. 

 Rationale:

Since the implementation of InFlex or the Innovative and Flexible Teaching and Learning, the College of Education prepares its faculty members for Open Learning Education. The activity aims to capacitate the faculty of the college particularly the peer facilitators towards Open Educational Practices including OERs, and open pedagogy and assessment. It also aims to reinforce the skills of the faculty to successfully facilitate remote and distance learning.

Happening particularly on September 27, October 1, 6, and 14, 2021, the event features 2 workshops and a public lecture, designed to develop teachers’ skills in applying the principles of open education practices into synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning. The public lecture is open for teacher and student participants to inform them about knowledge production in society.

The resource speaker for this event is Dr. James Brunton, Chair – BA in Humanities (Psychology Major) Programme, Open Education Unit, National Institute for Digital Learning, Dublin City University.
