As a tribute to its retired and retiring distinguished faculty researchers, the PRISM is hosting “The Grand Lecture Series: Lessons for Life from a Lifetime of Learning”. The Grand Lecture Series will offer the university community the opportunity to hear reflections on life’s lessons and meaning from our retired or retiring colleagues of exceptional merit. The featured speaker will share the wisdom he or she has gained through academic/ research pursuits and life experiences. This will distill a life of inquiry, reflection and service into advice to the successive generations. The first Grand Lecture will feature Dr. Edgar W. Ignacio, a former Chemistry Professor and a former Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The event is open to all but seats are limited to 100 only in consideration of the health protocols being implemented. |
