Technology Teacher Education Department

The Department of Technology Teacher offers program in Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) major in Home Economics and Industrial Arts, Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) major in Drafting Technology. The goal is to produce highly competent teachers who can teach Tech-Voc courses in the K-12 grade schools, Trade and Vocational Schools and even become entrepreneurs.


Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics

Develop skills in teaching, management and entrepreneurship that meet the demands of the real world. Train under our programs supported by our extensive linkages and connections.

Program Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVET Trainers - Assessors Qualifications Framework (PTTQF).
  2. Demonstrate broad, meaningful and coherent knowledge and skills in Home Economics and Industrial Arts in technology and livelihood education.
  3. Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in Home Economics and Industrial Arts technology and livelihood education;
  4. Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning.
  5. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in facilitating these processes in their students.
  6. Show a deep and principled understanding of how educational processes relate to larger historical, social, cultural, and political processes.
  7. Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches).
  8. Reflect on the relationships among the teaching process skills, the learning processing in the students, the nature of the content/subject matter, and other factors affecting educational processes in order to constantly improve their teaching knowledge, skills and practices.
  9. Ability to generate new knowledge or developmental project to address the local/national/international conferences.
  10. Apply varied skills, knowledge, and attitude in various industrial trades and related discipline.
  11. Exercise varied skills, knowledge, and attitude pertaining to family and home management

Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education major in Drafting Technology

BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION MAJOR IN INDUSTRIAL ARTS (BTLEd-Industrial Arts)

Have yourself trained for teaching in industrial arts and technology courses whether it be on trade, vocational and K-12 grade schools. Core courses include metal and wood crafts, machine repair, commercial and graphic arts, technical drawings, agriculture, plumbing, basic computers, and other related vocations.
