Computer Applications students showcase innovation at 5th Technopreneurship Pitch Competition

Dec 16 2025

Hosted by the Department of Computer Applications (DCA) of the College of Computer Studies (CCS), the 5th Technopreneurship Pitch Competition was held, providing an opportunity for CA students to pitch and showcase their socially relevant solutions and innovations during the prefinals held on November 12-14, 2025, and the finals on December 6, 2025.

To prepare students to be ready for the industry, this competition has been conducted since 2021 to bridge the gap between the skills needed in the industry and what is being taught in the academe. This year, the competition was held under the course leadership of Assistant Professor Stefany Mae Caparida

This year, four critical global priorities served as themes that were explored by the students: deforestation of biodiversity, healthcare and medical services, renewable energy, agriculture, and agribusiness.

During the pre-finals, the panel of judges was composed of international and national experts coming from Switzerland, Malaysia, the United States, Germany, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In the final round, the judging panel consisted of eight distinguished 51勛圖厙-IIT experts and alumni.
