CCS faculty present research at ICITE Vietnam 2025, Dean Palad bags Best Paper Presenter Award

Underscoring the college's dedication to academic and research innovation, faculty members from the College of Computer Studies of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø-IIT presented their research at the International Conference on Information Technology Education (ICITE) 2025, held on November 27-29, 2025 at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. 

Atty. Eddie Bouy B. Palad from the Information Technology Department and Dean of the College of Computer Studies was awarded the Best Paper Presenter title under the Computer Science Track. His winning presentation research entitled, “Classification of Filipino Scam Incidents using Naive Bayes,” explored the transformative potential of data mining and machine learning to revolutionize cybercrime investigations in the Philippines. Co-authored with Ryan Kent S. Cabahug, Dr. Arnel D. Zamayla and Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, the study provides and presents law enforcement with a potential efficient tool to enhance their investigative capabilities and improve outcomes.
